Q&A
- How did you start with photo/video?
I got my first camera from my grandfather when I was six and I have been interested in photography since then. However, I have only been photographing seriously since 2009, when I bought my first digital SLR camera. I started shooting landscape as a hobby which soon developed into passion and now I am a full time landscape photographer. - How would you describe your style?
Dramatic light, dreamy mood and foggy scenery. I have recently been more attracted to black and white photography, which especially together with long exposures allow me to drift away from the real world and realize my creative intention. - What inspires you?
Nature, mountains and forests. It is a beautiful feeling to stand on a cliff in the morning silence, above the endless sea of clouds and to be there when the first light touches the landscape. I try to capture this atmosphere with my camera and share it. I enjoy traveling and being outside, therefore I mostly do fine art landscape photography. My favorite place is the Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland which lies on the boarder between the Czech Republic and Germany. Most of my images are from there. - What is your dream shoot or project?
To get an assignment for National Geography. - What is your best advice to others that want to develop as photographers?
Be patient!
What is in your bag?
- What is the most important in your bag?
My Canon 5DSR + Canon EF 16-35 F/4L - What bag do you use?
I use a Shimoda Action X50.
